Start Getting People To Sign Up In Droves For Your Ezine

 

Though discussed last, this is something you can start doing while you get the other steps going. After all, you don't want to be publishing a fantastic ezine without having it reach large numbers of eager, enthusiastic readers!

Every visitor to your website, each customer or contact, is a potential subscriber to your ezine. By signing up potential customers, you have a chance to keep marketing your product or service to them repeatedly. By having them read your 'killer' ezine, you can build up respect, confidence and trust in your abilities - and convince them to order from you.

1. Collect email addresses from your contacts

To collect their email addresses, you must offer something in return. Your free ezine is a fantastic offer. Make sure they know about your ezine, and have an opportunity to sign up for it. Keep the process simple and fast.

2. You have to sell even free !

No longer is a free ezine enough to attract subscribers. There are simply too many around. But you can sweeten the pot further by offering something else of value to new subscribers. This could be

   - a free report or ebook

   - a free copy of a related product or service

   - a trial subscription to your member site or paid ezine

   - a chance to win a free copy of your products or consulting services

   - cash ! Do this through an ezine affiliate program

3. Get readers to recommend your ezine to others

A powerful form of endorsement marketing is to get your ezine subscribers to tell their friends about it and invite them to sign up. You can assist this by including an online form for recommending your ezine to friends.

4. List your ezine in the various ezine directories and search engines

5. Submit articles about your topic to various other ezines and websites.

Include information about your ezine in it.

6. Advertise in other ezines

You could do this by either paying for ad placement or in exchange for running their ads in your ezine.

7. Arrange reciprocal recommendations

Write to other ezine owners of related newsletters and arrange to mention each others' lists.

8. Use newsgroup and discussion list posts to promote your ezine

9. Place classified ads on various websites and ezines

10. Issue a press release

If you think your ezine is news-worthy, tell the press about it!
