While building blog networks appears similar to building multiple blogs, there's a difference. A blog network is a group of related, interlinked blogs, each a stand-alone publication - which when interwoven intelligently can drive a lot more traffic to your main website.

Let's say you are blogging on a niche topic, with 10 major keywords.

You could create one blog with posts related to all 10 keywords. Or instead, you might set up 10 different blogs.

Each blog would contain posts relevant only to one specific keyword. This would help the blog rank higher for that keyword, as it is tightly themed on the phrase.
