
Jason James from UNCUT Marketing sent me an affiliate check recently. Nothing unusual about that - except for what accompanied it (see picture above)
A "Thank You" Card - with a short typed-out note!
It's unusual, because not many others send me a note - and certainly not with my affiliate check. James caught my attention - by being 'different'. I will remember 'UNCUT Marketing' the next time I'm approached for an affiliate promotion or JV deal. I am telling you and many others about James' nice gesture.
All by being DIFFERENT.
It's not even done in a high quality way. The note is typed out on note-paper, cut with scissors. The card isn't a gilt-edged, top class one. But it did come in a stamped envelope, addressed by hand - making it PERSONAL.
That's what matters in an impersonal medium like the Web.
So, don't wait to be 'perfect'. Don't even strive to be high quality. Instead, try to be 'high TOUCH' - and keep a relationship going with your clients, suppliers, vendors, affiliates, partners and everyone you contact, online and off.
