Interesting concept - except for one thing... he hasn't considered geographic differences in postal costs.
In some parts of the world, postcards can be MAILED to prospects at a cost of a little over a quarter cent! If email cost that much, and even with the ideal system, one in 2 goes unread, email marketing becomes as effective - or INeffective - as postal direct mail.
Would AOL tax emails differently for messages originating from different countries? Or would their physical server hosting location determine 'costs'?
