About Passion & Purpose

People ask why, as a busy heart surgeon, I continue to bother
with Internet marketing.

My answer has always been this:

"I love both. And they help me make a difference."

* Yesterday, I helped raise $764 for the Hurricane Katrina
relief fund.

* Last month, I generated a little over $7,000 for my Heart
Kids project.

* Last year, I could keep a friend in his home when he was
running through a patch of bad luck.

And all this happened while I was thousands of miles away,
through the positive force that's the Internet.

It doesn't have to be a BIG difference.

When I first tried doing this, I raised $17 in an event.
It was useless - for my purpose. But think about what $17
can do in another context:

- $17 can feed and clothe 3 Indian children - for a month

- $17 can pay for school books and tuition for a child
for a year

- $17 can cover the cost of vaccinating 1,000 babies
against communicable infections

On the other hand, it can be a BIG difference.

In January, I listened to Frank McKinney speak at a
seminar. The 'Maverick' sells $50 million homes - on spec.

It means he builds the houses at his cost
- WITHOUT a buyer ready on hand!

He then sells the homes to the ultra-rich for a fortune.

Does this wealthy playboy then go out and party?

Well, maybe. But more important, he uses his profits to
build simple homes for thousands of very poor people in
Haiti.

Frank's PASSION is building. His PURPOSE is helping
folks - the ultra-rich and the very poor.

My passions are heart surgery and Internet marketing. My
purpose is to help children live - and in a broader sense,
to help people.

What's your passion?

How can you use it to fuel your purpose?

Think about it over the weekend. The answers will change
your life... and skyrocket your success.

*** Ordinary people doing EXTRA-ordinary things... ***

I'm in AWE of some of my subscribers. They are doing GREAT
things to help people.

Lisa Flipidy is auctioning bags of groceries on eBay to raise
funds to donate to the victims of Katrina -

www.flipidy.com/bagofgroceries.htm

Ramzi Abboud wanted to help - badly. He didn't know what to
do... so he came up with an idea. He wrote to ask if I would
tell you and the others on my list about his new ebook,

"Naturally Lowering Cholesterol"
www.lower-cholesterol-naturally-fast.com

He's cutting the price down to $29.95 - throwing in a hard to
resist collection of bonuses - and donating $10 per sale to
the Katrina Relief effort.

Ken McCarthy has set up a blog with ideas of how businesses
can help with the relief work... check out this link

My friend, and role model, Paul Myers, has spearheaded an
effort that has grown massively - and you can see it here

www.WarriorAid.com

Just think about it...

If you were privileged enough to communicate with such
amazing folks - and there are MANY more 'silent' helpers
on my contact list too - wouldn't you feel inspired,
energized and motivated?

I admire, respect and salute these wonderful people -
and you, too, are one of them... because you care.

All success
