My Maddest, Merriest Day of 2005...

My Maddest, Merriest Day of 2005...

... is TODAY.

Why?

Because in my hand I hold a valuable piece of paper. If anyone had told me a single sheet of paper could mean so much, I'd have found it hard to believe!

Yet, for just over 19 months, I've been working to get it. The ups and downs of the period seem like the stuff fiction thrillers are made of. At times, the letter seemed tantalizingly close - and then, a spanner would get into the works, and I'd have to re-submit a bunch of papers.

Finally, last week, I heard the good news. But I was cautious about telling everyone about it, so I shared the information with only two people who have been instrumental in making this whole project possible - amazing folks who believed in me, even when I wasn't quite sure about making it work.

And without their sustaining support and encouragement, I may not have the undiluted pleasure of telling you, my dear CHD supporter, this happy news... that I now have officially received permission to bring funds raised during last year's Heart Kids Blogathon into India.

This means within the next few months, we'll be able to sponsor at least 12 heart operations for children - hopefully many more!

I'm excited and delighted with this news, which comes at the perfect time - just weeks before this year's Heart Kids Blogathon!

Just wanted to share this with you, dear donor - and thank you for your support. You've been the strength behind this dream, and with your continuing support, let's take this higher and higher still!

All success
