As promised, here's an update.

I just received a photo of the baby who is recovering nicely in hospital. Mrs.Laxmi called today to say she is out of I.C.U.

Here's a photo - it sure makes it feel more 'real'

For the medical doctors reading this, you'll know ALCAPA is one of the most serious congenital heart conditions. This child had a mitral valve regurgitation (leaky valve on the left side of the heart) caused by severe heart failure.

Near-emergency surgery was the only option which could have saved her life.

Thanks to some wonderful people, it was possible. You are one of them. Feel proud. You helped save a child's life.

Thank you - from my heart.

Dr.Mani

Great News!

Last week, I received a request for assisting a 2-month-old child who needed urgent heart surgery for a rare birth defect called ALCAPA.

Two days ago, the child had surgery and is recovering nicely in ICU.

I wrote a short report to detail how you helped save a child's life. You can download it here

Thank you for making it possible. I'm sure together we'll help many more children like this.
