Remarkable - An Opt-In Page Converting at 92%
Last Sunday, I launched a gift giveaway, called "EARLY CHRISTMAS". By Tuesday morning, we had over 1,000 subscribers!
This landing page was converting 92% into opt-ins!
"Free" *still* works!

I read somewhere about a guy who would shoot off an email to Google's web designer whenever the total number of words on the homepage exceeded 50. He's done it only a handful of times in over 3 years.
Less is more.
My landing page has 47 words, not counting the privacy statement!
I've had 1103 visits through my tracking link - and 1012 opt-ins!

Actually, the conversion rate is higher, since I have a viral element built in, using Tell a Friend PRO.
Now, I'll disclose a 'skew' variable - many of these clicks were from people already on my mailing list, so there was a lower threshold for 'opting in' than a casual visitor.
Still, a 92% opt-in rate is nice to have :)
