Reader feedback is extremely valuable. However, you need to listen to it with a mind open to change, and act on the suggestions your readers offer. The right kind of feedback can become valuable content to add to your website.
How can you get feedback from your reader?
* Make it obvious that you welcome feedback. Place easy-to-find links on your website, or on a forum or blog, so readers can easily click to post their suggestions or comments, or to send you email.
* Actively ask readers to write back with their comments, opinions and suggestions for improvement.
How do you turn feedback into content?
There are many different ways to do it. Use your imagination. Here are some thoughts:
* Blog comments. If you have enabled visitors to your blog to leave comments, each message or feedback is appended to your initial blog post, and automatically displayed, becoming fresh content for your blog.
* Forum posts. Your site visitors can be invited to share their thoughts on a discussion board where others can read it. A lively debate might ensue.
* Use an HTML ‘form to web page’ script (like a Guestbook) so user- generated feedback is posted instantly to your web page.
* Compile feedback into an article or add-on report, and link it from the original article that generated the feedback
