Congenital heart defects awareness day on February 14th was marked by the Heart Kids Blogathon that was hosted on Dr.Mani's Remarkably Purple Spots blog since 2003. Every year, this annual event was widely anticipated and strongly supported by a crowd of eager, generous, helpful volunteers who worked to raise awareness of congenital heart defects and raise money to fund heart surgery for under-privileged children in India.
